Batman: White Knight is a universe created by Sean Murphy and published under the DC Black Label. DC Black Label represents alternate universe stories. Batman: White Knight was published in 2017. Then in 2019, Batman: Curse of the White Knight was published as a sequel series. Later in 2022, Batman: Beyond the White Knight published continues the story.
In this universe, the Joker is cured of his madness and sets out to become a politician under his real name Jack Napier. He is seeking to change his public image as a “villain” and save Gotham City from Batman, whom he views as the real enemy of the city.
Batman: White Knight was a massive success and DC Comics decided to publish its sequels after its success.
